Important Information
What to bring in?
We ask that all children bring in a healthy snack, drink, full change of clothes including underwear and socks. Could you also provide Wellington boots, hats, gloves and rainwear or Sunhats, depending on the weather? These can be left at preschool or brought in on a daily basis if you prefer. Please ensure that all clothes, including spares, are named. We have many children who have the same clothes and/or shoes!!
Book Bags
We do ask that all children have a book bag to take home letters, learning journeys, artwork etc. You are welcome to use your own, if you already have them, or we do sell them for £3.50 each. Reading books will be changed and learning completed by your child’s key worker, this will no longer be on a set day so book bags must be brought in daily.
Absence
If your child is going to be absent from preschool, can you please call on 01189429492 to let us know the reason.
Sickness
If your child is absent due to sickness and/or diarrhoea, they must be kept off for a minimum of 48 hours from the last episode.
Lunch
We do try and promote healthy eating so would encourage a healthy packed lunch if your child is staying for lunch club or attending an afternoon session. We suggest a drink, a sandwich/roll/wrap, a piece of fruit, dairy item such as cheese or yogurt and 1 treat. No fizzy drinks and no nut products including Nutella and peanut butter spreads.
No smoking or vaping
Can we please remind parents that smoking and vaping is not permitted on preschool grounds, including the car park area! Can you also ensure that you use appropriate language, swearing will not be tolerated.
Parking
Unfortunately there is no parking available to parents onsite, unless you are a blue badge holder. Blue badges must be on display when using the allocated parking bay. Parking is available in the carpark on Churchend Lane (next to Moorlands), or in Dunsfold Road but please be mindful of our neighbours and refrain from blocking driveways.
Late pick up
We appreciate things happen and it cannot be helped but if you are running late to pick up your child can you please ensure you phone and let us know. Persistent lateness will result in a fine, calculated at £5 per 5 minutes.
